This is my 3rd blog post about movies I saw in theaters but I'm not going to make a blog every time I see one. Only for the ones that stand out or I just feel like sharing my opinion on.
I saw Crazys about 2 weeks ago. It was really entertaining. It was hardly scary at all. If you don't know me personally then you probably don't know that I am a huge wuss when it comes to scary things. Movies, haunted houses, sadly even books. So I went into the theater really nervous that I wouldn't be sleeping for a week but also a little bit excited to be seeing a zombie movie. After it was over I was totally ok and happy I wasn’t really freaked out.
The movie follows the plot that most other zombie movies follow, how it happened. The movie wasn't that scary because most of it happened during the day time and a lot of things where pretty predictable. Its many antagonist(s) also follows almost all other zombie movies, Zombies, The Military, (and the most deadly of all) the other humans. The zombies are there because they just because they are and they are dangerous because they are trying to kill as many humans as possible. The military is there because they are trying to kill off all the zombies. They are a problem because they can easily misjudge a human for a zombie or they just don't know if the person is infected but hasn't turned into a zombie yet so they kill em anyway. And the most dangerous of all are the other humans. I'm not talking about the other people just trying to survive. In crazys the dangerous people are a group of rednecks who see the opportunity to just murder whoever they feel like, however they feel like. So in a full scale zombie invasion, the zombies are the least to worry about.
Over all I really enjoyed this movie because it had a lot of old zombie movie themes but it is set in modern times. A lot of modern zombie movies have lost a lot of the old themes but this one really pulls together a lot of old zombie movie ideas. Overall, 4/5
