WILLAMATION

To many, I may seem like I listen to only rock music which is far from true. I have an extremely wide range of music taste. On my i-pod you can find anything from Mozart to Suicide Silence or from Tech 9 to Glenn Miller! I have it all. I used to hate many bands/artists/styles of music, and I still do, but not as many as I used to. I try to play the music so much that I learn to like it! That is how I started liking heavy metal. The only style of music I am still trying hard to learn to like is country. You can see on my "about me" page some of the music I like but again there are so many artists, that I leave allot out because I forget to add them. For the most part my favorite genera is metal. To many it just sounds like screams and you might think "all it is is just loud banging and yelling stuff. Anyone can do that." well that is where you are wrong. I really like metal partly because I have the highest respect to how hard it is to perform a song! Sure screaming is easy when you feel like screaming but there are many different ways to and none of them are easy! allot of bands don't know these ways so they think when they scream, they just scream how they would if they got really scared and thus, their vocal chords are shredded and they can't talk for weeks. Metal is a very challenging thing to perform but if you don't like it I understand. If you think it is just mindless and talentless, I dare you to try and play a heavy metal song. And there is a genera of rock that many consider to be "Metal" such as: Avenged sevenfold, 3days Grace, Finger 11, disturbed to name a few. While these bands are definitely talented, I really don't think they are really metal bands but just rock bands. My brother is in a group that is not quite either. They are very heavy rock but also very light metal. There name is Raising Kane. Our family has always been a very music oriented family. In most households, the kids grow up on one artist/band. For many it might be the Beatles or possibly pink Floyed but for our house it has and always will be Michael Jackson (RIP)
