Nintendo 64

Posted on May 5, 2010 at 6:30 PM

As you can probably tell in many of my videos, I love Nintendo 64. When I was younger my brother bought one and it was the coolest thing ever to me. My favorite game was either Super Mario 64 or Banjo Tooie. But one day, the Gamecube came out. My brother bought it but he had to sell most of our 64 games. Since then I have been searching the internet to re-buy the games. Not necessarily the exact game cartridge we used but the same game. The problem is, I have to buy all the games online because most game stores don’t sell 64 games, so I am forced to use ebay.

The funny thing is I never really played the games. I only watched. My brother played all the games and I just sat there and watched. But occasionally I would play a little but when he bought the Gamecube, I took over the 64. I love it because I hate disks. Disks get scratched up and destroyed so easily, and they are easily lost. Cartridges are extremely durable but there are some bad things about them such as, they get dust in them, you can’t find the right game when they are stacked because they have no labels on the sides. But other than that I like em. I really don’t care that much about graphics to. When my friends are telling me “dude! This game is so much fun because the graphics are so good!”. I really don’t care about graphics. They make the game look cooler but its no reason to buy a game. If its fun, its fun. 64 doesn’t always have the best graphics but games like Legend of Zelda: ocarina of time, or Turok, or Donkey Kong are really fun and have a HUGE world to play in.

I really think Nintendo 64 is one of the best game systems. Sure Xbox 360 and PS3’s have wifi but Nintendo 64’s were the coolest system relative to their time. Right now I think PS3 is the best system relative to the current time but Nintendo 64 is always a classic.
